I’ve eaten here a couple of times, and I have to say…..”awesome”. In addition to being the perfect setting for an evening out, the service and the food just can’t be matched. There aren’t too many places around that allow for the classic “dinner and dancing”, and they definately do it right!!

I’ve always had a great experience here. Sometimes it can be a bit crowded, but the service has always been great. The woodfired steaks and seafood add a unique flavor, which you wont find at most steakhouses, at least in my experience. It has a nice, warm, cabin like decor, what with its stone accents everywhere. I dont think I’d call it an upscale restaurant, but its definatly a nice place to go.

I’m a huge fan of this place. The decor is very modern and trendy and the food is always fantastic. Great place to bring a bunch of friends, with its hibachi style grills, there can easily be twelve of you at one table.

Can’t beat this location. Just steps from the sandy beach, the Ocean Deck offers some of the best entertainment on the beach. People watching while enjoying great food and delicious cocktails makes for a perfect afternoon. There’s usually always live reggee music playing during the evenings, which in my eyes makes for a perfect evening also.

Love this place!!! Newly remolded, this restaurant serves some of the best mexican/spanish style food that I’ve had yet. I’ve been just a couple of times, but I’ve always been greeted and served by friendly people and the food has always been great.

I’ve been here just a few times, and the experience was not all that bad. Besides having to wait for a server to show up at the table to greet us, (which I hate) the food was pretty good, the steaks were cooked just the way I like, and the atmosphere is pretty “steakhousy”. All in all, i’d say it was pretty good.

Whenever I’m down this way in the afternoon, this is where I’d prefer to eat lunch. Everything I’ve had here has been delicious and this is a great place to watch whatever game might be on that day.

I have to say, unfortunatly, I won’t eat here again. I had a bad experience when my fiance took me here last year for Valentine’s Day, which also happens to be my birthday. This was where I really wanted to eat, so I took it upon myself to make dinner reservations two weeks in advance. When we got there, they had no record of my reservation, and while the restaurant was pretty much empty at 7pm, they proceeded to take us to a table facing a wall in the corner….really. To boot, when we finally finished our mediocor meal, we order dessert which had a rather large black hair on top which you could plainly see. When that was pointed out to the server, all she had to say was that the chef was bald…no joke. Super dissapointed. Never Again!!! Maybe it was just a one time fluke, but that was my experience.

I had a blast eating here. The food was awesome, but what really topped it off for me was the service. Beside being super friendly an efficient, the servers have a lot of fun with their guests. Make sure you watch Forrest Gump before hand, because there are a lot of random questions about the movie being thrown at you by the staff. I had a lot fun with it. Also, its located at the food of the BandShell so you’re likely to hear live music or become involved in whatever else might be happing that evening.

Besides the fantastic Shakes, the food here is….mmm…ok. Its definatly something you have to be in the mood for. The burgers are pretty good, but not what I think of when I think of a “good” burger.

This is the only Hooters I’ve ever been too, and I thought it was pretty good, not great, but good. The speedway, located right across the street, makes for a pretty busy location, especially durning race weeks.

A very unique restaurant, especially in it’s decor. I would reccommend bring a few friends along if you decide to come, as most of the entrees serve at least four people easily. The food itself is pretty average Italian style, nothing too special. But all in all, I thought it was good.

I love coming here, especially on a beautiful evening just as the sun is setting. Located on the water this restaurant offers fantastic views of the Halifax River and great food to match. With its beutiful outdoor dining, I think the atmosphere is what most people come for.

mmmmm….Stavros. They’ve been around for a long time, and while the pizza crust is a bit more bland then I’m used to, the food, in general, is fantastic. They have great subs and the greek salad is super tasty.

Great wings, and if you’re a good looking guy, great service too. I’ve really never been disappointed with the food. Since it’s located just down the way from the speedway, it does tend to get a little unbearably crowded at times.

As a smaller steakhouse, the steaks are fantastic. Cant say the same for some of the other menu items, but if you’re looking for a great steak, this is the place to come. Its very cozy feeling and kind of dark and cramped inside, but as I said, they do offer a great steak.

The atmosphere here is awesome and the food, just the same. Wether it be a birthday, anniversary, or whatever the occasion, this is usually my first request. I love this restaurant and with the consistancy they offer with their food and service, I know it will always be a great experience.

I love Olive Garden!! Besides being a great value, we’ve always had good service and great food here. Although I would recommend not trying to come during race or bike weeks because the crowds are ridiculous. But any other time…..definatly worth going.

I’ve been to this location a few times, and to be honest, I havn’t been impressed. The last two times we went, the service has been lousy and the food, well, just wasnt what I’ve been used to for so many years. Not sure why, buy I am sure I won’t go back anytime soon.

We usally visit the keys a few times a year, and when we do, there’s always one place we go out of our way to eat at….the Wooden Spoon. Besides the quaint friendly atmosphere, their breakfast it out of this world. Its definatly worth checking out if you’re ever down that way.

Not sure about the catering aspect, but the restaurant itself is one the most unique around. The atmosphere, with its garden dining with lights wrapped around all the trees and the outdoor fire pits, makes for and experience you wont soon forget. Before dinner you’re served a large bread loaf for tearing and dipping into the freshly roasted garlic. As for the dinners themselves, they’re nothing spectacular, but usally always good. If its an experience you’re looking for, this is the place.

This is great local watering hole, located directly on the beach, it makes for a perfect summer cool down. Usually offering live music, full bar, and good simple bar food, its definatly a summer time favorite.

Newly renovated and now named “Dolphin View”, this is one of the freshest seafood restaurants in New Smyrna. While its a bit hard to find, its been a favorite of ours for years and we would reccommend it to anyone.

Outback, to me, is always good. I any place that serves a good steak, and the people who work here are all very friendly. There have been a few occasions where the steak was not prepared the way I like it, but atleast the margartitas were good. Most of the time, this is a great place to eat.

Love this steakhouse. I have yet to have a bad steak here always cooked perfectly. They have the best salads and the bread they serve before hand is some of my favorite. I would definatly reccommend this location, I’ve been to the one in Port Orange and unfortunatly can’t say the same for them.

The best Mexican restaurant I’ve been too so far. Located on South Atlantic Avenue closer to Bethune, its a bit of drive, but well worth it. The atmoshpere is simple but feels very Mexican from the moment you walk in. Sometimes there’s a bit of language barrier with the staff, but the servers for the most part are very friendly and its a great value.

Located in the same plaza as the local movie theaters, this makes for the perfect place to eat before or after, or just anytime. The food is always good with service to match. The menu reminds me of a classic sports bar with good variety of local seafood favorites added in. All in all a good place to eat.

Located at the begining of Flagler Avenue, this place offers great tasting smoothies and shakes along with a great menu full of healthy sandwiches and soups. Slightly overpriced in my eyes, but good none the less.

With its new location opening in July this year, Clancy’s has always been a favorite of mine, not necessarily because of the food (because its not always that good), but because of the atmosphere and the friendly people who work there. During surf contests, Cinco de Mayo, and any other big events, this is the place to be.

Chik-fil-a is always good in my eyes. Love the country stlye chicken taste and the shakes are to die for. Located in the heart of Edgewater, its a little out of my way, but worth the drive.

Beside being in a convienent location, this Burger King is not much different than any other. Sometimes the food is right and fast and sometimes, quite the opposite. The staff seems pretty nice, even when they get it wrong.

Located in the Wal-Mart/Publix shopping plaza, makes for the perfect afternoon pit stop. Being a chain restaurant makes for pretty consistant food and good atmosphere. There have been a couple visits to this location that put a bad taste in our mouths however, just based on the service alone, but all in all, its a good place to eat.

Another New Smyrna Beach local’s top favorite, open just for breakfast and lunch, this is how much of the beach community gets their day started. Good, simple food, with a friendly staff that always makes you feel welcome.

I’m absolutely in love with this restaurant, have been since it first opened two years ago. With its new location and it’s national recognition now from the show Hell’s Kitchen, this is hopefully going to be one of those restaurants that stays around for a long time. The food has always been consistantly excellent, not good, but excellent, with the service to match. Highly reccommended!!

A local favorite, Pappas has been here for years. Its simple food that usally is always good, and served by friendly people in a fast and friendly atmosphere.

If its during race week or especially bike week, this is the place to be. There’s usally tons of happenings here and loads of fun for the family around these times. Other times, this just the place to be for good pub food, live music, and a good time.
